Facebook Settlement: How Much Money Could You Receive?
After a long wait, many Facebook users in the United States are now getting payments from a
big $725 million settlement. This settlement comes from a lawsuit that said
Facebook wrongly shared users’ personal information with other companies.
People have been talking about these payments online. Some are surprised by how much they received, while others are disappointed that the amounts are lower than they expected.
Not everyone will get money from this settlement. Only users who joined the lawsuit before the 2023 deadline and filed a claim will receive a payment. If you did not file a claim by that time, you won’t be getting money from this settlement.
How Much Can You Get?
According to reports, the amounts vary. The smallest payment is $4.89, and the largest is $38.36. On average, most people got around $29.43.
Payments started going out on August 27, 2025. People are getting their money in different ways, such as through PayPal, Mastercard, and other methods.
