Stimulus Payments in February 2025: What Money Might You Get?
As we step into the new year, families across America who rely on government support are keen to understand any changes to the assistance programs they depend on.
For many, the upcoming months bring the possibility of extra financial support through these programs.
Help from Sacramento for Families
In particular, families in Sacramento might see some much-needed financial relief thanks to a special program called the
Sacramento Family First (FFESP). This initiative is designed to help families struggling with the rising costs of living.
Eligible families will receive $725 every month for a year – a program that started in December last year and will continue until November 2025.
To keep getting this help, families must stay living in Sacramento. The money is sent directly to their bank accounts linked with their tax returns. There's just one main rule: to qualify, a family's income must be less than 200% of the federal poverty level.

Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend
Another specific boost comes for folks living in Alaska. Through the
Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend, residents get a payout from the income made off mineral royalties. This not only benefits the current residents but also future generations of Alaskans.
The dividend each person gets is calculated based on several factors, including the number of eligible people and the fund's net income over the past five years.
The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation, which manages the fund's money, keeps this process running smoothly.
To get this dividend, you must have lived in Alaska for the whole of the previous year and plan to stay indefinitely. In 2024, the dividend amount was set at $1,702.
Dates for distributing these funds are specified, with payments in 2025 for eligible applicants planned for mid-January, late February, and late March.
